Drawn from memory, this piece captures the edge patterns left by waves gently lapping Swanpool Beach —a vivid, playful day with my boys, full of bright colours, sunscreen, and quiet gratitude for where we live.

Using both tufting and punch needle techniques, I worked with long and short pile to create movement and rhythm, echoing the shifting tide lines in deep blues, soft pinks, and sharp lime. The curves and colour contrasts are instinctive.

Suspended from locally foraged driftwood, this piece is a love letter to Swanpool -not just as a place, but as a feeling. I hope it stirs a moment of lightness in you too.
